Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that Poland will stop providing weapons to Ukraine and instead focus on arming its own military "with more modern weapons," according to AFP. Poland has so far been one of its neighbor's closest allies in terms of military, political and humanitarian support.
The relations between the two countries have become strained in recent days over Poland's decision to extend a ban on Ukrainian grain imports, causing Ukraine to take legal action with the World Trade Organization. Poland also summoned the Ukrainian ambassador after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky criticized Poland, Hungary and Slovakia over the grain dispute.
