Former United States President Donald Trump called on Friday for the ousting of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, claiming the GOP lawmaker is helping Democrats pass every bill they want to. Trump also denied that he was responsible for the resignation of Fox Corporation and News Corp. chairman, Rupert Murdoch.
"Many people are saying that,'You forced Rupert Murdoch into retirement!' I do not believe this is so, but while we're at it, how about getting rid of 'Democrat' Mitch McConnell, who gives the Radical Left Lunatics and his small band of automatic 'yes' votes, EVERYTHING they want. There is ZERO Republican Leadership in the United States Senate. MAGA!!!" the ex-US president wrote in a post on Truth Social.
On Thursday, Murdoch announced he will retire in November, when he will be appointed chairman emeritus of Fox and Newscorp, while his eldest son Lachlan will succeed him as the head of both companies.
