Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday that governments that are pushing for normalization of relations with Israel are "making a mistake."
Delivering remarks at a conference on Islamic unity, Khamenei noted that he would not encourage countries to be close to Israel at this point in time, expressing optimism about the Palestinian movement.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said last month that his country and Saudi Arabia are on the "cusp" of "historic peace" mediated by the United States.
