Former United States President Donald Trump expressed his frustration with being tried under a Consumer Protection Statute, which he believes is being unconstitutionally used against him.
Trump contended that the purpose of this section is unrelated to election interference and he highlighted that it denies him the right to a jury trial, as there is no alternative provided. "This was done by Radical Left Marxists design, and is not the America we know," he said.
Trump's comments come after he agreed to appear in the civil fraud trial against him which alleged that the ex-president's company was liable for committing fraud by inflating the value of its assets.
