The United States is considering alternative ways of sending aid to Ukraine after the latest government funding bill excluded additional funds, Politico reported. The Biden administration could use a State Department grant program for foreign military financing, according to two unnamed officials.
One of the sources said the administration is looking into ways of using funding previously authorized by Congress "that allow us to provide additional support to Ukraine for a bit longer if Congress doesn’t act." According to the report, the US has $650 million left out of a total of $4.6 billion in funding approved by lawmakers in two support packages for Ukraine.
