United States President Joe Biden stated on Wednesday that he is profoundly "saddened" and "outraged" due to the explosion at Al Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza.
During a press conference with his counterpart, Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu, the US president suggested that "based" on what he had seen, the attack "was done by the other team [Islamic Jihad]." However, he acknowledged that it is not easy to determine at this time.
Moreover, Biden also went on to say that it is necessary to ensure the security of innocent Palestinians "caught in the middle" of the conflict. The destruction of the Al Ahli Arab Hospital reportedly led to at least 500 casualties while leaving many injured. Israel has denied any involvement in the deadly blast.
