Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian urged on Sunday the United States and Israel to halt the latter's campaign against Hamas in Gaza, which he labeled a "crime against humanity" and "genocide."
Speaking at a joint press conference with his South African counterpart Naledi Pandor in Tehran, Amir-Abdollahian stated that if "the US and its proxy, the fake Israeli regime," do not end their actions, "the region will go out of control." "What we have seen today in Gaza is the proxy war of the fake Israeli regime," he insisted.
The minister's comments came amid Israel's constant claims of Iran backing Hamas's attacks on Israel.
