Deputy Russian Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko claimed on Saturday that NATO is currently unwilling to be involved in the Israel-Hamas conflict, with the United States being the "main Western factor" in the Middle East. "Most likely, the NATO factor may appear if the United States needs to legitimize its actions or its position," Ednews reports that Grushko told Ria Novosti.
Grushko said NATO is likely to "try to somehow strengthen the position of the alliance in the region, already relying on the strongholds that have been created in many countries." He added that there is "no contact at all" between Russia and NATO concerning the conflict.
