Türkiye hopes to hold a conference on the situation in the Middle East with the participation of all interested parties to achieve peace, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
"Our main goal is to establish final peace in the Israeli-Palestinian problem. We call for this, for example, we want to gather all interested parties for a conference," Erdogan said in an interview with Turkish journalists on board a plane returning from Kazakhstan.
The country's authorities previously stated that they were making active efforts to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, including within the framework of the initiative to create a system of guarantor countries and convene an international peace conference on the Middle East.
