The UN Security Council will hold an open meeting on the Middle East conflict on November 9, United Arab Emirates Permanent Representative to the United Nations Lana Nusseibeh said, Ednews informs.
“The open session of the UN Security Council will be held on Thursday,” she said.
Nusseibeh added that China, which will chair the UN Security Council in November, intends to hold both formal and informal meetings of the Security Council to focus on this humanitarian disaster.
The permanent representative noted that the UN Security Council is conducting consultations on the draft Middle East resolution prepared by 10 non-permanent members of the Security Council, and all 15 member countries are participating in the discussions.
