The Russian Federation terminated an agreement with the Government of Japan on cooperation in the elimination of nuclear weapons in the country, the Russian official internet-portal of legal information announced on Thursday.
The published document explains that a cooperation committee for this purpose was established in 1993, and it was then that the agreement was signed.
Last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law by which he revoked the country's ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Agreement (CTBT).
