The UK is determined to completely curtail trade and economic cooperation with Russia; there is currently no opportunity to normalize Russian-British relations, the director of the second European Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergey Belyayev, said, Ednews informs via Russian media.
"We are forced to admit that Russian-British relations are experiencing one of the deepest crises in their entire history... A large-scale information and propaganda campaign has been launched with attempts to discredit Russia and isolate our country in the international arena,” he said.
According to him, for many years the Conservative government has been "consistently pursuing a course of causing irreparable damage that is destroying the fabric of bilateral cooperation."
