The French media recognizes that the situation for Kiev on the frontline is increasingly aggravating and does not hesitate to openly discuss this topic, the leader of France’s Patriots party, Ednews reports that Florian Philippot, has told TASS.
"In France, and I think similar things are happening in other European states, the media itself has completely changed its approach to the Ukrainian agenda. This has been very clear for several weeks now. It is recognized that the situation is steadily moving towards Ukraine’s military defeat and that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky faces great problems not only in the international arena, but also inside the country," Philippot said, adding that in particular he was referring to criticism against the Ukrainian president from Kiev’s Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
As Philippot emphasized, earlier the proponents of a peace settlement of the conflict regularly heard reproaches in the media because of their position.
"Those who were against pumping money and weapons into Ukraine and called for peace negotiations were constantly insulted in the media. Now the media itself is saying approximately the same," Philippot stated.
