United States Vice President Kamala Harris said on Friday that Special Counsel Robert Hur's report regarding the investigation of United States President Joe Biden's handling of classified documents is "gratuitous, inaccurate and inappropriate."
Speaking at a press briefing, Harris stated that "the way that the president's demeanor in that report was characterized could not be more wrong on the facts, and clearly politically motivated, gratuitous," adding that Biden was up to the task when the Hamas attack on Israel occurred on October 7, coordinating the defense and intelligence services and gathering all the necessary data on what happened.
The day before, Hur revealed the final report on the investigation stressing that although evidence showed that Biden "willfully retained and disclosed classified materials," the prosecution would be unwarranted, emphasizing, among other arguments, the current head of state's age and memory.
