As a result of direct dialogue between Moscow and Yerevan, returning to the "normal state of alliance" is the only reasonable solution. The Russian Embassy in Armenia noted this in a statement it released on Wednesday, April 3, the day of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Armenia.
"We are sure that the correction of the accumulated imbalances and the return to the ‘normal state of alliance’ as a result of a direct dialogue between Moscow and Yerevan is not only possible, but also the only reasonable solution," said the statement posted on the Telegram account of the aforesaid Russian diplomatic mission in Armenia.
The statement adds that Russia and Armenia are members of common integration associations (EAEU, CSTO, and CIS) and collaborate within UN organizations. There are about 200 cooperation agreements between the two countries in various domains.
"Russia has always attached special importance to the strengthening of friendly ties with Armenia as an ally and an important partner," the statement also reads.
