"Vitaly Balasanyan repeatedly tortured Natig Gasimova in front of the Armenian soldiers and killed him, contrary to the laws of war," Azerbaijan's State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons told this.
Since 1988, Vitaly Balasanyan was closely involved in inciting separatism and organizing terrorist acts, carrying out ethnic cleansing, and committing the Khojaly genocide in the territory of the former Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Province of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and committed numerous war crimes. Later, he became the "deputy minister of defense" and "head of the security council" of the separatist regime established in the territories of Azerbaijan occupied by Armenia.
Note that the commission will carry out excavation and exhumation works in the territory of the Khojaly district in the grave sites of the missing persons in the First Garabagh War.
As it is known, the Armenian side contrary to humanitarian law norms, hid the information about the burial place of all Azerbaijani citizens who went missing in the First Garabagh War, including Natig Gasimov, and continues this inhuman act even today.
