Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has said that the US–Iran agreement could lead to positive developments across the Middle East, expressing optimism about regional cooperation and stability.
EDnews reports that Sheikh Tamim made the remarks while addressing US President Donald Trump during a meeting on the sidelines of the summit.
“I want to thank you for your leadership in this very critical time in the Middle East. This is a very important deal, there’s still a lot of work to be done, but with this momentum – if we continue like that Mr President – I think we can achieve and do great things in the region,” the Emir said.
He emphasized that continued diplomatic engagement and momentum from the agreement could pave the way for broader regional progress and stability.
The comments come as regional leaders respond to the emerging US–Iran framework deal, which is expected to be formally signed in Switzerland in the coming days.
