US President Donald Trump has said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “has to be more responsible with respect to Lebanon,” while emphasizing his close relationship with the Israeli leader.
EDnews reports that Trump made the remarks during comments addressing Middle East developments, noting that his administration had played a decisive role in supporting Israel.
“Without the US, there’d be no Israel,” Trump said.
He added: “Without me there would be no Israel, because no other president was willing to do what I did.”
Trump also described his personal relationship with Netanyahu as “great,” while stressing that greater responsibility is needed in handling the situation involving Lebanon.
The remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing diplomatic efforts linked to the US–Iran framework agreement and broader security developments in the Middle East.
