The Slovak Embassy in Azerbaijan will continue to serve as NATO's Contact Point in 2027-2028, Slovak President Peter Pellegrini said during a joint press statement with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Shusha.
The Slovak leader also praised the two countries' cooperation in the areas of security and defense.
"I would like to confirm that in 2027-2028, Slovakia, through its embassy in Baku, will continue to serve as NATO's Contact Point. I am pleased that we have established close cooperation with Azerbaijan in the areas of security and defense. The defense ministries of our countries actively cooperate," he said.
The Slovak president also announced that Slovak companies will participate in the ADEX-2026 defense exhibition, which will be held in Baku in September.
