“Lada Sedan – Baklajan ‘Eggplant’”

.jpg)
Now it became clear to me about which car of a special color Timati is singing.
Car and purple vegetable are not just rhyme in the chorus hanging on the teeth.
This is hint at special color of Baku taxi.
In Baku people calls it simply eggplant (baklajan).
In form they resemble London taxis. But London’s ones are black, here they are purple.
And so on the exterior and interior one to one.
And inside, everything is just as comfortable as it is with the London cars.
Taxi is calculated for 5 people. Three rear seats and two folding seats.
The passenger does not sit next to the driver.
Between the driver and the passenger area there is a partition made of cast glass. With the driver you can talk through the intercom and do not distract him from the road.
Payment is transferred through the opened window of the partition, as in the exchanges, which are here at every step.
Eggplants are everywhere you can call them by telephone, find on taxi stop or even catch it on the road. Everyone has a flat rate, you pay by the meter.
"Eggplants" appeared here in early 2012, before Eurovision. As many as 500 pieces run through the city, as they told us.
They are produced by the same producer of London cabs.
We got an extremely gallant driver. As soon as the five ladies sprang out of his car, he wished us: ‘Good luck, beauties! Have a nice holiday in Baku!’
Along with the "eggplants" there are white taxi with checkers.
And ordinary, private cars, similar to our Nexias.
Everyone has a license. I haven’t seen anybody without a license, although, they say, only they are fined if they work without licenses.
Another feature surprised me. If you call a taxi, the ride costs less than if you stop on the road - there the price is negotiated.

"Damn it" – ‘Chert poberyi’

Reference to the film The Diamond Arm or ‘Бриллиантовая рука’.
You probably remember a sultry woman - the poet's dream languidly beckoned into a cozy cellar to indulge in the lovers of random passers-by in the movie of the Diamond Hand.
And her famous phrase "cigel-tsigel-ay-lyu-lyu" instantly became winged.
Like a password.
We also did not pass this popular place, which was already popular thanks to Gaidai.
This street, this house ...
True, the lady is different.
I do not pretend to be sultry woman.
But I wanted to be photographed against the backdrop of the corner where the "cigel-tsigel-ay-lyu-lyu" was first winged.
That's the power of cinema!
By the way, Baku can boldly make up Tourist routes "in the footsteps of the masterpieces of the film industry".
After all, this city often served in kind for the filming of the eastern panoramas.
In addition to the Diamond Arm, the "Last inch", "Amphibian Man", "Aibolit-66", "My Good Dad" and "Teheran-43" were shot here.
