The Israeli prime minister has issued a statement during signalling by US President Trump that a deal with Iran is imminent.
“As long as I am the prime minister of Israel – Iran will not have nuclear weapons,” Netanyahu said, according to a statement by his office. “President Trump and I are in full agreement on this issue.”
The Israeli prime minister claimed Iran will have “long ago possessed atomic bombs to destroy Israel” if it weren’t for his work to prevent it.
“As long as I am the prime minister of Israel this will not happen,” he added.
