Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to his Malawian counterpart Arthur Peter Mutharika on the occasion of Malawi’s Independence Day, EDnews reports.
In his message, President Aliyev extended “sincere congratulations” to the Malawian leader and the people of Malawi on their national holiday.
“Dear Mr. President, on behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my most sincere congratulations to you and, in your person, to all your people on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Malawi – Independence Day,” the letter read.
Aliyev expressed confidence that relations between Azerbaijan and Malawi would continue to develop in a spirit of friendship and cooperation, reflecting the interests of both nations.
“On such a significant day, I convey my best wishes to you and wish your friendly people constant peace and prosperity,” the message added.
