The State Border Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan has relesed the overview of the month of July, the Service told Ednews.
According to the Service, during the month, 22 individuals were detained for violating the state border. Of those detained, 13 were Azerbaijani citizens, 3 were from Pakistan, 2 from Iran, 2 from Morocco, 1 from Turkey, and 1 from Bangladesh.
Also, as a result of measures against the illegal circulation of narcotic substances, 336 kilograms and 31 grams of narcotics, as well as 6,486 tablets considered to be powerful narcotic substances, were detected and removed from circulation.
Efforts to ensure the reliable protection of state borders continue.
