President Ilham Aliyev's participation in the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council as a guest indicates the high prestige of our country. The head of the organization said that what makes Azerbaijan attractive for various organizations in the international world is not only its economic opportunities, but also noted that the country's independent policy plays a big role here. This also stems from Azerbaijan's influence and game-changing role in Eurasia as a whole. Azerbaijan-Armenia problems were discussed more than current issues at the meeting. One of the future prospects of the Eurasian Economic Council is the resolution of the issue between Azerbaijan and Armenia. That is, the tension of these relations and the failure to achieve peace are not compatible with the future activity of the Eurasian Economic Council. Therefore, to hold this event was important.
Ednews informs that Umud Mirzayev, president of the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF), expressed these views in his statement to AZERTAC.
Umud Mirzayev noted that Azerbaijan is an active participant in the East-West and North-South transport corridors.
"The importance of Azerbaijan as a transit country is increasing all over the world. Because the area where the North-South and East-West transport corridors meet is precisely Azerbaijan. The opening of the Zangezur corridor is not only an issue related to Azerbaijan. It is an important joint project for Turkey, Europe and the world. Zangezur corridor can become a road that can connect from one end of the world to the other side. For this reason, both Europe and America support the improvement of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and want peace to be established soon. However, there are countries that oppose it. Our southern neighbors, Iran and Armenia, are preventing peace and the opening of the Zangezur corridor with their internal forces, but as President Ilham Aliyev has mentioned, this road will be opened," president of IEPF said.
He said that Azerbaijan often sends messages in this direction to Armenia in order to reach a peace agreement. However, the other side is trying to avoid responsibility by sticking to its tradition.
Umud Mirzayev noted that Azerbaijan is an active participant in the East-West and North-South transport corridors.
U. Mirzayev said: "Establishment of peace in the region, recognition of borders and territorial integrity is an important issue for the President of Azerbaijan. Today, our border checkpoint operates in Lachin. Despite all the pressures, the opinions of international experts confirm the right position of Azerbaijan. All these are indicators of the success of our country.
At the tripartite meeting held in Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin's views regarding territorial integrity as the main and fundamental principle, and other issues as secondary, once again revealed Azerbaijan's rightful position. This once again showed that Nikol Pashinyan is unfair to all Armenians."
