The German coach detailed to the press post-match about the importance of the former Roma star, hailing the 'lifesaver' for his efforts at Anfield.
And Liverpool legend Carragher was interrupted by Klopp during a segment with Norwegian television to exclaim: “If I knew Alisson was this good I would have paid double."
Liverpool shelled out a then-world record fee for the 26-year-old, with the investment already proving worthwhile after a string of fine performances.
Klopp would add after the 1-0 victory: “When Mo scored, what a goal. Unbelievable. And the save Allison made? I have no words for that. It was a life saver. I am really proud with what the boys did tonight.
"It wasn’t just one save. Allison had a lot of things to do tonight. How cool and calm he was with the ball helped us a lot and coming out for crosses was outstanding.
“And yes that save really was incredible. But if we don’t defend the whole pitch together like we did tonight he can’t make 20 saves like that last one.
“It was incredible. Unbelievable. I have never seen something similar."
