Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has declared that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed "until the end of America's evils," reaffirming Tehran's hardline stance amid escalating tensions with the United States.
In a statement, the IRGC accused the US military of striking Iranian positions under the pretext of targeting "offending ships" attempting to transit the strategic waterway, claiming the attacks were intended to conceal what it described as Washington's "defeat and inability."
The IRGC also asserted that no vessels attempted to breach what it called the Iranian blockade or escort US forces through the strait, adding that, as a result, "there were no hits."
The claims made by the IRGC have not been independently verified.
