More than 260 people have been injured in the latest US attacks on Iran, according to a spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Health.
Health Ministry spokesman Hossein Kermanpour said on X that 222 of those injured had received medical treatment and were discharged. He added that three of the wounded were under the age of 18 and that at least two people were killed in the strikes.
The reported casualties follow a new escalation in the US-Iran confrontation, with American forces targeting dozens of Iranian sites and reimposing a naval blockade on Iranian ports.
The latest flare-up has entered its fifth day, raising concerns over further regional escalation and the impact on shipping and energy markets.
