Azerbaijan exported 12.43 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas during the first six months of 2026, according to customs declarations published by the State Customs Committee.
The value of natural gas exports totaled $4.11 billion between January and June.
Compared with the same period in 2025, gas export volumes increased by 0.5%, while their value declined by 9.6%, reflecting lower export revenues despite stable shipment levels.
Natural gas accounted for 25.15% of Azerbaijan's total exports during the reporting period.
Overall, the country's foreign trade turnover reached $24.66 billion in the first half of 2026, including $16.32 billion in exports and $8.34 billion in imports, resulting in a trade surplus of $7.98 billion, according to the State Customs Committee.
