Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that energy exports from the Middle East could be disrupted following the United States' reimposition of a naval blockade on Iranian ports.
In a statement, the IRGC declared: "The export of oil and gas from the region will be either for everyone or for no one," signaling that Tehran could respond to US actions by threatening regional energy flows.
The warning comes as exchanges between Iran and the United States continue to intensify, with both sides taking military and strategic measures affecting the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil shipping route.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced the return of the naval blockade on Iranian ports and initially proposed a 20% fee on ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz. He later withdrew the toll proposal, saying the decision followed requests from US allies in the Gulf, while maintaining the blockade.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has declared that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed "until the end of America's evils," reaffirming Tehran's hardline stance amid escalating tensions with the United States.
In a statement, the IRGC accused the US military of striking Iranian positions under the pretext of targeting "offending ships" attempting to transit the strategic waterway, claiming the attacks were intended to conceal what it described as Washington's "defeat and inability."
The IRGC also asserted that no vessels attempted to breach what it called the Iranian blockade or escort US forces through the strait, adding that, as a result, "there were no hits."
The claims made by the IRGC have not been independently verified.
