Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan didn’t neglect to stop by the Azerbaijani pavilion at the Expo 2020 international exhibition in Dubai on Tuesday, as part of his official two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
During his visit to the pavilion, the Turkish leader listened to Azerbaijani songs performed by the Alim Qasimov, who was named the "People's Artist" in 1993, and his daughter Fargana Qasimova.
Speaking at the expo, Erdogan congratulated the UAE for successfully hosting the large-scale event despite the pandemic conditions.
He added that countries should “act together to achieve a brighter future.”
Erdogan, who last visited the UAE in 2013, was in the country for a two-day visit at the invitation of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Azerbaijan pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai is organized by the Heydar Aliyev Center. The exhibition is set to run until March 31 this year.
The pavilion provides information about sustainable development and innovation in the economic and social spheres in Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, as well as construction work in the territories liberated as a result of the 44-day Second Karabakh War.
Azerbaijan’s National Pavilion gets more than 10,000 visitors a day.
